What a fun two weeks we have had in school, full of new and exciting experiences.
Last week was Sports Week. We tried out Archery on Monday and pretended to be Robin Hood! We were all very good at shooting arrows. We surprised ourselves! Then we had our annual Sports Day on Wednesday - thank you to all of you who came along to cheer us on. We really loved having you all there to share the morning with us. And then on Friday we had a skateboarding lesson. We were very excited about this and there are definitely some natural skateboards amongst us. Helmets at the ready!
We had a sneak preview of the Year Two production on Monday this week and we really enjoyed us. It gave us lots of inspiration and the children can't wait to have their turn on stage this time next year!
Wednesday was time for our Year One trip to Paradise Wildlife Park. We had a great day! The sun shone for us and all the animals came out to see us. We were very lucky! As you'll see by our photos, we saw so many exciting things and even got to watch the owls having feeding time! Unfortunately the penguins we tucked away in their tunnels so we only got a little look - we think they were sheltering from the sun. The dinosaurs were an exciting end to our day and we loved reading the facts about them. I hope the children all went to bed as early as I did that evening!
A big 'Thank You' again to Lyllia's daddy for coming along to help out!
Have a lovely weekend - hopefully see lots of you at the Summer fair!
