This week Pands's have been learning...
Literacy: We have began looking at The Great Fire of London and have been sequencing the events of what happened. We have also writing descriptions of what London would have looked like during the fire with some amazing idea " Billowing black smoke"!! As well as this we looked at London in 1666 and London today and did a comparison of the two looking at what was different and what was the same. We practised our persuasive language to create a poster to encourage people in 1666 to join the fire brigade which was first formed after The Fire of London.
Maths: This week in maths we have started looking at money and the different ways that coins can be used to create an amount. We practised our number bonds and then used this in the context of money. We then looked at ordering and comparing different amounts of money.
Topic: This week in music we composed our own song using firework sounds. We then wrote our own words to go with a piece of music. In science we began looking at materials and their properties. We discussed how different materials are used and thought of experiments to test different materials. We also worked on creating our role play area which is the pudding lane bakery from The Great Fire of London.
