Lion Class has enjoyed a very busy and exciting Sports Week!
We started the week with Game On coming to lead us in some themed football activities based around the World Cup. We practised dribbling the ball and even took part in our own penalty shootout! On Tuesday we found out about street dance and learned a whole routine using some new and exciting movements.
Wednesday was our annual Sports Day at Bushey Manor. We all took part in a carousel of activities, including egg and spoon races, long jump and throwing beanbags. We then ran races in our class groups before watching our Mums, Dads and brothers and sisters taking part in their own races. We finished the morning with a fantastic picnic with all of our families and friends!
Also this week, we took part in ‘The Daily Mile’; running a mile around the playground before beginning our learning for the day. We also enjoyed a skipping workshop on Friday before an assembly finished the week off.
If that wasn’t enough, Lions also enjoyed a trip to Year Three at Bushey Manor on Thursday. We took part in an orienteering activity with our Year Three partners and enjoyed having the time to look around the school and ask any questions that we had. We also have been working hard on our Leavers Assembly this week- we can’t wait to perform it for you next Thursday!
Well done on a fun- filled sporty week of learning Lions!
