We had a great start to our week with our Bollywood workshop on Tuesday afternoon. A lady called Stephanie came to teach us some dance moves and a new routine. We worked really hard to learn it in such a short amount of time. Those that came to watch us perform, thank you very much for coming! And those who couldn't make it, there are some photos and a couple of videos to watch on the video page.
We had great fun learning the moves. See if your children can remember how to do 'the pizza', 'the jelly' and 'the see-saw'. They may even remember more moves than that. Don't forget to shake those hips too!
This week in English:
We wrote about our Bollywood workshop and what we learnt.
We also read a traditional tale from India called 'A Tiger Child'. We read the beginning and middle part of the story and then wrote a predictions about what might happen next. We then read the end of the story to see how accurate our predictions were.
This week in Maths:
We have looked at addition, using different resources and methods to find the answers to our number sentences. We also looked at number bonds to 20 playing a game called 'snap'. Can your child remember how we played and what we had to do?
This week in Science:
We looked at the different seasons, which months fall in to them and what changes and signs we might spot as we move in to the next season. We watched videos on what happens to plants, trees and animals in each season and then wrote down some facts that we had learnt. We then made a poster about our favourite season and wrote about it.
