We have been quite busy during our short week at school. On Wednesday we learned about an artist called Monet. We looked at some of his paintings, and talked about what we could see, the colours and the movement. We then chose to paint a water lily painting, just like him. We learned how to do the brush strokes we would need, and painted the backgrounds. We will continue adding to them next week.
On Friday we went to visit Bushey Library. We were all very excited to visit the library, as some of us had not been there before. When we arrived the librarians showed us around the library, and how to check out books. We were then allowed to choose our own book and check it out. Finally they read poems and a story to us, before we had to go back to school. Each child has a letter in their bag from the library, explaining their services.
We have moved on to a new topic for this half term. We have decided to look at life cycles. We have begun to change the role play area, and on Friday afternoon the children began to draw pictures to add to the area. We will continue to add to it next week.
