On Wednesday we went to visit Bushey Library. In preparation for our trip we looked at a number of different photographs of buildings, signs and tin man (!) that we should look out for on our walk. We then practised some warm-up exercises to make sure we were ready for our walk!
We were all very excited to visit the library, as some of us had not been there before. When we arrived the librarians showed us around the library, and how to check out books. We were then allowed to choose our own book and check it out. Finally they read poems and a story to us, before we had to go back to school. Each child has a letter in their bag from the library, explaining their services.
We have moved on to a new topic for this half term. We have decided to look at life cycles. We have begun to change the role play area, and on Friday afternoon the children began to draw pictures to add to the area. We will continue to add to it next week.
