We arrived into school on Monday morning to find that pirates had come to visit over the weekend, looking for their treasure! They thought we had taken it, so they took one of our toys instead. We decided to write letters to them, explaining that we had not taken their treasure, and asking for our toy back. We thought the best place to put the letters so that the pirates would find them would be on our pirate ship. We have left them there over half term, so hopefully when we get back after half term they will have returned our toy!
We have been drawing and labelling lots of treasure maps this week. We learned how to make the paper look old, using tea bags, and tearing the paper. We have used the outdoor area for lots of treasure hunts over the week. In maths this week we have been learning about halving and sharing. We had to work out how the pirates would share their treasure fairly.
We will be visiting Bushey Library on Friday 9th June. As we will be walking there, we would really appreciate some parents walking with us to the library. We will be leaving the school about 9.30am, and will be returning by about 12pm. If you are free to walk with us on that morning, please let us know.
Have a lovely half term OR class!
