In Literacy this week we have been looking at the final letter from The Jolly Postman for this half term. We read the story of Little Red Riding Hood and then worked in groups to act out the story. We had a go at using different voice for each character.
In maths we have been consolidating our learning from this half term. We looked at using different resources such as tens frames, cubes and Numicon to find one more and one less, as well as using them to help us find all of the ways to make 10 and practise our number bonds.
This week was Science week, so on Monday we had a special assembly with Nitro Nick from Mad Science. He showed us lots of different science experiments using balloons and candles.
Thursday was Diwali and so we learnt about the Diwali story and why people celebrate it. We had a go at drawing our favourite things that we had learnt and then used our handprints to make decorated elephants like the ones we saw on the board.
Well done Tigers on a brilliant first half term. Have a lovely break!!
