Week 6: 11th October 2019

This week in Dolphins we have been learning...

Maths: In maths we have been looking at subtraction and we continued to practice this using our tens and ones and starting to draw them. We really enjoyed sharing our subtraction learning with everyone who was able to join us for open classroom.

Literacy: In literacy this week we have been looking at the events of the great fire of London and ordering the story in chronological order. We also thought about why the fire spread so quickly and what has changed since then to avoid a repeat of the fire.

Topic: This week we have been preparing for our Harvest Assembly and practising all our songs in music. We also had relax kids again this week which gave us time to think about how to take time for ourselves away from everyone else. This followed what we had been learning for World Mental Health Day where we thought about how to keep our body and our mind healthy. In science we looked at how some materials can be changed and why they change when others don't.

Next week we will be looking at writing a diary and getting ready for our trip to Gunnersbury Park Museum.
