This week has been 'feeling good' week in school and haven't we packed in lots of feel good fun!
On Monday we had a day of DT. We worked in twos and threes to design and make a setting for a superhero adventure, using Traction Man as our inspiration. We worked hard to make our settings and then wrote evaluations too.
On Tuesday we had our PE and Music sessions which were followed by a fun circle time session with Mrs Shirley involving malteesers...
On Wednesday we had a drama workshop with Super Duper who helped us learn lots about recycling. We also made our Kyrptonite Krispies.
Thursday was our Superhero Day. And what a way to end our topic! The children had some fantastic costumes with some great ideas for their heroes including older siblings and their future career! We made sandwiches and fruit kebabs, did some art activities and then dance the afternoon away to YMCA, Baby Shark and The Conga, before gobbling up all the delicious party food that we made! I certainly needed an early night after all the superhero fun!!
On Friday we had our second visit to Rock Up. It was great to see the children challenge themselves to be better than last time, conquering their fears and showing off how fantastic they are at climbing!
And after all of that, I think we deserve a week off!! So have a fantastic half term everybody and I will see you all on Monday 25th February.
Next terms learning...
Our new topic will be Australia, although we won't be starting this learning until week 2 as the first week back is Science week, with a focus on flying.
