This week in Zebra's we have been learning...
Maths- In maths we have been regrouping tens and ones to help us with taking away. We have used the base 10 and money to practise exchanging ones for a ten as well as a ten for 10 ones. We have had a lot of fun and even started to draw our own base 10 into our books to show off our understanding!
Literacy- We have been reading Paddington the bear and this week we wrote descriptions of Paddington and then thought of adjectives to describe a story setting. We then had a go at planning our own story about Paddington and have started writing these. We aren't finished yet but so far they are looking wonderfully exciting.
Topic- In topic we have continued to look at materials in science and learnt about Charles Macintosh, who invented the rain mac. We also got to go to Rock Up which was very exciting and everybody had a wonderful time and climbed higher than I new they could! We have had an exciting week !
Next week we will continue our writing stories and then start looking at editing them as well as regrouping 2-digit numbers and starting to create our Tudor Houses! Lots of fun planned next week!
