The week in O1 has flown by as the children have continued their learning as well as prepare for a class assembly.
In literacy we have continued our work on 'Man on the Moon' by Simon Bartrum by retelling the story and looking closely at the order of events. The children then had a chance to sequence the pictures themselves before writing their own version of the story. The children loved doing this and used some excellent time openers. The work produced has shown a progression in handwriting and story telling skills throughout the class and the children are looking forward to creating their own stories next week.
In maths the children have been working with money and recognising the different coins and values. They have continued to learn what each coin is worth and its value. They answered a range of questions about real life money situations and this also led into furthering their addition and subtraction skills.
The children enjoyed watching a full dress rehearsal of B1's class assembly. They loved it and well done to B1 for putting on such a fabulous performance. This gave O1 the inspiration to do their best in their rehearsal and they are looking forward to doing well on Monday.
