This week we have continued our learning about the history of the seaside by putting what we learnt down in to our own fact booklets. We choose areas to focus on and then wrote descriptive sentences and drew pictures to explain what holidays were like in the past.
Our Maths focus has been counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We have done this practically using resources as well as spotting the number patterns. This linked in nicely to our previous learning on money.
Our Phonics learning has been looking at alternative ‘ir’ sounds as well as the sounds ‘ure’ and ‘ear’.
In Art we have started making seaside pictures using watercolours and the paper ripping technique.
This afternoon we were lucky enough to watch a theatre production of ‘The Jungle Book’. The children really enjoyed it and joined in where they could.
Have a lovely weekend. See you all on Monday for our first 5 day week this half term!!
