This week in Dolphins we have been learning...
Maths: In maths we have been looking at doubles and halves and how we can use these facts to help us with our working out. We also started to look at regrouping numbers to 20 and using place value in our sums.
Literacy: In literacy we have been looking at Tudor life and food. We have found lots of really interesting facts about the Tudors and wrote our own Tudor banquet menus, which made us very hungry!
Topic: This week we have had a wonderful time using musical instruments to recreate Tudor music as well as learning a dance from the courts of the time. We also had some time to create a topic pages using tissue paper to create a British flag in the style of pop-art. We also had our relax kids session which was very peaceful and we learnt about the different parts of the brain and how to look after them. In science we looked at materials some more and looked at the difference between man-made and natural materials.
Next week we will be starting to learn about the plague in literacy/topic and we will continue to look at regrouping 2-digit numbers in maths.
