What a fun week we’ve had! Firstly I hope you all enjoyed your extra day off and are planning on some fun things together for Bank Holiday Monday too.
Maths – we have been working on money this week. We have explored the coins, beginning to name and recognise them. We have practised adding amounts and making totals with different combinations.
Geography – we explored the school for human and physical features.
Phonics – we are focussing on alternative sounds at the moment, looking at oo (ue, u-e, ew) and or (aw, ore, au, oor) this week.
History – we began to explore the history of seaside holidays in preparation for today’s workshop. Next week we will continue this learning by writing fact files.
Today we had our highly anticipated seaside workshop. And what a day it was! Sue (the workshop leader) taught us so many new and interesting facts and had a day filled with exciting arts and crafts as well as stories, artefacts and even a Punch and Judy show. We hope you enjoy hearing all about it from your children and seeing the wonderful things that they made.
