Sorry for the late upload! I have been having a few problems with uploading items to the website but I'm hoping I have fixed it and photos will be up tomorrow!
Parrot class have been full of energy and enthusiasm this week and have been in fantastic form. Although the children had to deal with some changes this week to the timetable they coped really well and have really been showing that they are becoming confident Reception children and learners.
We have been continuing to think about castles this week and turning their learning into stories. Thank you to Cecily for bringing in lots of castle, prince, princess and knight themed books. If you have any books which match our topic please send them in. The children love having a book from home shared with the class. The children have been having a go at telling their own stories. We have been creating 'Story S' stories as a class on the carpet and some children have been using these to record their own stories.
In Maths we have been recording our tens frames on a Part Part Whole model. This is beginning to explore adding and seeing how numbers can be broken up into two parts. The children really enjoyed this and really impressed Miss Kerr who leads Maths in our school who was looking at Maths learning throughout the school.
Next week we will be focusing on We're Going on a Bear Hunt. We will be writing invitations to the children's favourite toy throughout the week to invite them to our Teddy Bear's Picnic on Friday.
Hope you have a lovely weekend
