In maths this week we have continued with our learning of days of the week, months and seasons of the year! These are quite tricky but we have had a good go at learning them, so please continue to go over these with your grown ups at home!!
In our English learning this week we have been writing fact files about Rememberance Sunday! We have learnt a lot about Armistice Day in our History lessons as well. We have also done some writing about how birthdays are celebrated in different countries and how we celebrate our own birthday!!! As well as this we have been exploring the Diwali story and writing about how people celebrate Diwali and about the Diwali story itself.
In Art we have been created some amazing Arctic Scenes with different arctic animals for our hall display. We used water colours to create our background and lots of different materials to make our animals.
On Wednesday we had a really special day and learnt lots in our Indian Workshop. We decorated our own Divas with acrylic paint and gems. Then afterwards we learnt some traditional Bollywood Dancing which we showcased to our grown ups and Year 2. I think they were very impressed.
For Children in Need we baked some Smartie Cookies and we are very grateful for all our grown ups donations! We've also been doing lots of singing practice for the Christmas Production.
Have a lovely weekend Meerkats and get lots of rest before another busy week next week.
