The final week of Spring Term!
The children have worked so hard this term and are exhausted!
This week the children have been making Easter cards for their families. They have been carefully cutting out egg shells and printing chicks. They have been developing their independence and we are very proud of them for using the skills they have been practising all term. They also made their Easter Nests. They watched as the chocolate was melted and even predicted how many seconds it would take to melt the chocolate. The answer was 50 seconds. They enjoyed this activity immensely and it was so lovely to hear the children having conversations with their peers as they stirred or waited for their turns. It’s so important that children have opportunities to have conversations with their peers while engaged in an activity. It was so interesting to hear the topics the children chose to talk about.
As Spring has finally arrived, Bushey and Oxhey Infants celebrated it with our Spring Assembly. The children worked so hard to learn the words to the song and they even had to work together to choreograph the musical sequence in the middle. They only had one Music session in order to learn the words to the whole school songs and I think they rose to the challenge and tried their best with the chorus'.
The week was finished off with the Easter bonnet parade. The children looked fabulous in their bonnets and proudly walked round the hall to show them off to the rest of the school.
We hope you have a restful holiday and we look forward to welcoming you all back on Monday 16th April.
