What a busy week!
This week we have been continuing to think about people who help us. We were lucky to have a visit from an ambulance. We were able to watch the lift for the stretchers and walk through the ambulance. Unfortunately, as the ambulance was in service it had to race off to save someones life. Thank you very much to Watford ambulance service for visiting us.
This week was our annual Spring Assembly and what a brilliant week for it. Last year rain fell but this year the school was bathed in sunshine and spring has definitely sprung and the whole school community definitely has a spring in their step. The children did an amazing job performing their song and I was definitely a proud teacher sitting watching.
On Thursday the children were very excited to have Mrs Charles back for PE. I had other plans for the PE sessions but the children convinced me to change to a gymnastic session. They had lots of fun using the equipment climbing, balancing and jumping.
On Friday was our trip to the local allotment. Led by Zara's (Toucan Class) mummy we were introduced to life at the allotment. We will hopefully be evolving our school allotment over the next few years. Due to a speedy return to school I forgot to send off Squawky to visit his next home. Don't worry though Squawky will be visiting me this weekend and I promise to take great care of him.
Next week is parents evening. Please make sure you have made an appointment to see me as it is an important opportunity to share your child's learning before we enter the final term of Reception.
Have a lovely weekend
