What an exciting week for Lion Class!
This week we have spent many hours practising for our final class assembly as Bushey and Oxhey Infants. After many rehearsals, we finally performed for our friends and families on Thursday morning. We loved sharing everything we had found out about Roald Dahl, from descriptions of characters in his books to an exciting science experiment! We sang beautifully and were proud to receive our certificates as a well done for all the hard work that we had completed over the past three years. We ended with a special tea as a celebration of our time at Bushey and Oxhey Infants.
Also this week, we spent some time with Mrs Lowden from Bushey Manor who came to find out a little more about us. We enjoyed sharing and writing about our families and hobbies.
In an extremely busy week, we also found time to look at water poetry as part of our school-wide ‘Poetry Week’. We discussed the features of different poems before reciting and performing a selection of water poems to our friends. We then planned and began to write our own poems based on our school house, describing the movement of water, earth, air or fire.
Finally this week, we thought about our time at Bushey and Oxhey Infants and wrote all about our favourite memories and favourite lessons. We enjoyed sharing our ideas with our teachers and friends to remember all the fun learning that had taken place!
