This week has been another busy week in Tigers class! On Friday we had our at home session where our Mummies, Daddies and Grandmas stayed and did some maths with us. We had great fun sorting the shapes in different ways and we all got a sticker for fantastic sorting! Thank you to everyone who came.
In literacy this week we have been looking at Thanksgiving and why American people celebrate it. We wrote down some things that we are thankful for and why. We also looked at how we celebrate birthdays in this country and how this is different in other countries and cultures. As well as this, we continued looking at the story of Handa's Surprise and had a go at writing about our favourite parts.
In Maths we continued exploring shape, focusing on 3D shapes. We learnt the names of some 3D shapes and practised using words such as faces, vertices and sides to describe them. We also had a go at sorting and comparing the shapes.
