Our first week back has been lots of fun! A 4 day week but a busy 4 days...
We started our Topic of ‘A day at the Seaside’ by learning about Captain James Cook and the adventures he went on.
We practised using and testing our senses in science and then used this learning to help us write a diary pretending to be Captain Cook on the day he arrived in Australia.
In Maths we have been finding the difference between two numbers and linking this to statistics. We then carried out an odd and even investigation.
Our Phonics focus has been the spilt sounds (a-e, i-e, o-e, u-e, e-e).
Next week’s learning:
Maths – money
History – seasides in the past
Phonics – alternative sounds for ‘oo’ and ‘or’
