This term we have started our new topic "Under the Sea." We started off by making a list of facts we already know and have devised some questions that we are looking forward to researching. For example, 'Does coral sting?' 'Why is the sea salty?' 'What is the quickest fish?'
We are looking forward to our class assembly on Monday 8th May and have been busy planning the content. Please check your child's book bag on Friday and encourage your child to learn any lines!
On Thursday we were very excited to listen to Leo's dad who came into school to talk about computers and new design innovations. He launched a new school competition to invent a new product to help people with their daily lives. We hope the winner will emerge from Class BR! Please check your child's book bags for more details.
Thank you for your support of our new outdoor planting garden. We have been inundated with plants and herbs that will be planted by a number of our children with the help of our green-fingered parents! We have received different plants and herbs. Each child who has brought a plant has been able to talk about their plant and the class have been learning the names of plants by playing sense games, looking at the growing instructions, finding out when the plants will flower and understanding how to care for the plants. We are looking forward to harvesting our potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and strawberries!
