We had a great week back at school and we have been very busy with lots of learning!
In English, we have continued to learn about Supertato, we began by designing our own super veg hero, writing a list of all the objects we would need, ranging from raisins to felt to tissue paper! We loved making our super veg heroes during DT, adding capes, masks and belts, please have a look at photos of this week to see our super veg heroes! We then wrote instructions to explain how we made our super veg heroes making sure we ordered events, used time adverbials e.g. first, then, next and imperative (bossy) words e.g. put, cut, glue.
During Maths, we practised number bonds to ten, looking at different ways to show them. We used a range of resources e.g. Numicon, cubes and counters and recorded our learning using pictures and number sentences. We also, became detectives, looking for patterns with number bonds to ten and when adding two numbers together.
In Science, we have started to learn about materials; we began by looking at different types of materials including fabric, wood, plastic and metal. We then worked in small groups to sort the materials using different criteria, we blew Mrs Impey, Mrs Oliver and Miss Hurt away with our ideas…groups ranged from size, colour, shape and properties to name a few!
Well done Tigers, an excellent first full week back at school, keep up the super learning!
