It was a great start to the new half-term on Monday when the children returned with the excellent work done over the holidays as part of Home Learning.
I would also like to say a very big thank you to all Parents who brought in Pots and Pans for our Mud Kitchen and additional resources such as keys and ribbons that we will be able to use!
This week has been a very busy first week back. In Phonics we have been revising sounds learned and focussing on the 'u', b' and 'f' sounds. In Art the children enjoyed creating Splatter paintings to create Firework pictures!
On Wednesday Kian's parents from class OR talked to us in our Diwali assembly and explained the meaning of Diwali and how it is celebrated. Kian had helped his parents make traditional food that we were able to taste and enjoy later in the morning as an extra treat!
In our Harvest assembly Reception sang a special Autumn song about falling leaves that they did brilliantly!
This week our Stars of the Day were on Monday George S, for his creative splatter picture and on Tuesday Joseph for knowing very tricky words. Ava N was awarded the Star of the Day on Wednesday for her Diwali work and on Thursday Felix was the Star of the Day for listening and focus in Assembly.
On Thursday Mrs Cooper came into the class with her Golden Book. Olly was picked to go into the Golden Book for his superb Phonics work. Well done to all!
