We have enjoyed reading 'Rhyming' books this week, sounding out rhyming strings and then writing out our own rhyming strings.
We all enjoyed an amazing drumming workshop this week led by a professional drummer Jeff Rick from the band Status Quo. He gave a talk about the history of drumming and then the children got the opportunity to try their hand at a range of percussion instruments that they all enjoyed immensely. It was fantastic to see all the children involved in a whole-school performance where they enthusiastically clapped and played along to the beat.
This afternoon, we enjoyed our class celebration. The children were all able to relax and enjoy a well-earned ice lolly outside with their friends. They then played on the pirate ship apparatus.
We will be visiting Bushey Library on the afternoon of Wednesday 7th June. If anyone is free to walk with us then please speak to me, we would really appreciate it.
Have a lovely half term BR class!
