In OR class we have been sharing our family photographs this week. In groups the children have shared their photos and spoken about their families. The children were confident to speak in front of their friends, and we learned a lot about everybody's families.
In maths this week we have been learning about one more and one less. We have used objects, such as cars and dinosaurs, to help us work out the answer to one more and one less questions.
We have begun to learn new sounds in phonics. This week we learned m, a, and s, and practised writing them on whiteboards. We have special rhymes that we say to remind us how to form the letters correctly. The children have taken home sound books this week to practise these.
During our PE lesson on Thursday we moved like dinosaurs. The children thought of many different ways that a dinosaur might move, and we practised them with music. We then began to put moves together in a sequence. Next week in PE we will continue to create our Dinosaur Dance.
Next week we will begin to talk about our favourite foods, and we'll look at different foods from around the world.
