Our learning in Badger’s Class…
As part of our ‘All About Me’ topic we have been focusing on ‘Our Families’. We have started creating our family trees which are being displayed in the classroom. The children have printed the tree trunk with their hand and arm print and drawn the members of their family onto leaves.
Thank you for sending in lovely family photographs. The children have been very excited to talk about them and they are being added to their family trees. Please could you send a photograph in if you have not already.
As Autumn approaches our outside area has been covered in leaves and the children have loved using buckets to collect lots of different leaves. They have been looking closely at the different colours and shapes of the leaves. We have been using the leaves in our creative work. The children have been learning how to create leaf rubbings and printing with the leaves which have been added to the classroom displays.
During PE the children are developing their independence in getting changed for PE. They are learning how to put on tights and socks as well as making sure their tops and trousers are the right way round. To help reinforce these skills please encourage your child to get dressed independently in the morning. You could focus on one item each day, for example, their tights or socks. The children feel a great sense of achievement when they have put on their own clothes especially items they find most tricky.
