In Literacy this week we have listened to the story "Aliens love underpants!" We have created our own aliens and thought about different describing words we could use to form sentences about them.
We have focussed on learning tricky words 'her' and 'you.' The sounds we have practised have been 'ow' (blow the snow), 'oo' (poo at the zoo) and 'oo'(look at a book).' We have been writing sentences using our sounds on whiteboards and some of us have been continuing the activity during active learning.
We are looking forward to our assembly next Friday and have worked hard to research interesting facts about space that we are looking forward to sharing with you all.
We have added to our 3D Flying Rocket collection this week and these are now in our space role play area which is as popular as ever! We have had many rockets with different shapes, sizes and materials used such as lego, Duplo and the large wooden blocks in our outdoor area.
In Maths this week the children have been ordering numbers, playing a variety of board games and learning about the properties of 3D shapes such as the number of corners, faces and edges that each one has.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our Assembly next Friday.
