O2 have had a wonderful week. We continued with our new topic of ‘The Olympics’ and used the torches we made last week to take part in our own Olympic Relay. We had lots of fun cheering on our team mates and running with our torches.
In literacy this week, we carried on looking at the story of ‘Mufaro’s beautiful daughters’. We compared the setting of the story to those in traditional tales we know, such as ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. We also started looking at using speech marks to describe how the characters in the story were feeling.
We have also enjoyed our maths learning this week. At the beginning of the week, we found ways to make different numbers using dienes and multilink and recorded the value of each digit in a two digit number. We then applied this to a variety of exciting maths games, and made sure we used our maths knowledge to check our answers and think of the best strategies to win!
Finally, in PE, we used the apparatus and equipment to find different ways to travel using high and low shapes. Look at the photos in our gallery to see our interesting shapes and movements!
Well done O2 on a fantastic week of learning!
