In between all of the preparation for our Nativity this week, we looked at the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We read the story, and drew and labelled pictures of Little Red Riding Hood walking through the forest. We set up a shop in the maths area, to buy food to bring to Grandma’s house. We looked at 1p and 2p coins, and how we could use these to buy the food.
We have been busy exploring our new home corner this week. It even became Grandma’s house for a while, with a wolf sleeping in the bed. The children have really enjoyed using real-life objects, and we would like to thank parents for the donations they have made.
We have been busy rehearsing for our Nativity, which will take place next Monday 11th December. We will be performing the Nativity twice on that day, at 9am and at 2.15pm. We had our dress rehearsal today, and now we are really looking forward to performing for you on Monday.
As the children will need to get changed into their costumes for our first performance on Monday, we will be asking parents to drop their children at the door, and let the children come in by themselves to put their things away and to get dressed. Parents can then make their way around to the front entrance to take up their seats in the hall.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation with this.
