Bushey and Oxhey Infant School

Educating Today's Child for Tomorrow!

Proud to be part of Bushey Primary Education Federation Headteacher: Mrs M Cooper

Week 10: 9th November 2018

This week in Zebras we have been learning...

Maths: We have been looking at repeated addition and multiplication this week. We have looked at multiples and had a go at drawing arrays to help us work out our multiplication questions. We have done really well and are excited about starting times table work at home with you next week.

Literacy: We have been learning about Rosa Parks in literacy this week.We thought about how she would have felt at different points of her life story. We also had a debate about whether girls should be allowed to go to lunch first and wrote letters to Mrs. Cooper to persuade her to let/not let this happen.

Topic: We have had a very exciting week this week. We had our own Fire of London with the local fire department who taught us all about fire safety. We also learnt about rememberance day and made poppies as well as meeting a soldier in assembly and asking questions about what it is like. We had gymnastics in P.E this week and amazed our teacher by learning the moves super quickly!

Next week we will be looking at Michael Rosen and his poem 'Chocolate Cake'. We will also be doing some winter themed art and looking at measurement in maths.
