This week in OR class we moved our learning on to traditional tales. In literacy we read the story Jack and the Beanstalk. We talked about the characteristics of the characters in the story, and the children worked in groups to write what they thought about each character. At the end of the week, the children acted out the story in small groups.
In maths this week we have been learning about number bonds to 10. We used various objects to work out the combinations to make 10. We then recorded our results.
The children created many interesting models using junk modelling materials this week. These included a swimming pool, a boat and a castle. We also had a lovely conversation about the various language spoken in our class. We learned some words in Korean, Chinese and Portugese. It was great to hear about so many different languages.
On Friday we had the opportunity to see a 3D printer in action. I was a lovely experience, and one which the children really enjoyed!
Well done OR class for another great week of learning.
